CourtServe HRA

CourtServe HRA is a Windows software application that electronically delivers lists for Solicitors with Higher Court Rights of Audience and sole practitioners, facilitating access to sittings in Courts of interest to a subscriber.

The application offers various levels of access to court lists and is tailored to law firms of all sizes operating locally and nation-wide. CourtServe HRA delivers all the Court lists – Daily Courtrooms, Daily Drafts, Daily Finals, Criminal Warned, Firm and Running – published by the Crown Court in England and Wales, as selected by the user.

CourtServe HRA builds on a long-standing partnership between Courtel Communications and the Ministry of Justice to speed and enhance the flow of information from the courts to the court users.

CourtServe HRA is from the same proven family of applications as used by most leading criminal chambers in England and Wales.

Until recently, law firms and sole practitioners tended to rely on phone or fax contact with courts to be updated on last-minute changes to scheduled hearings. This time-consuming task can now be easily automated by CourtServe’s efficient, practical, electronic solution offering built-in reliability and attractive cost savings.

CourtServe HRA is continuously updated by a sophisticated, secure data centre. It displays lists and tracks cases in the courts selected by the subscriber. CourtServe has been partnering with the Ministry of Justice for nearly 15 years specifically to do just this. Over the period CourtServe has refined a digital solution that using the Internet, securely delivers a wide range of lists from the Royal Courts of Justice, Crown Courts, Employment Tribunals and County Courts to those in the legal community who depend on them.

CourtServe HRA can be manually populated with cases running in your firm or practice and will highlight these on the basis of a unique identifier – the case number – to alert you to any vital listing change in a court hearing.

What is does

CourtServe HRA is accessed through an icon on your PC desktop. Behind this is a sophisticated web-enabled application, secure data centre, help desk, and a team based in Surrey able to resolve any issues or queries. CourtServe HRA users can track cases scheduled in just one Crown Court Circuit/Region or, as optional upgrades, any hearing in the other Circuits/Regions, the Royal Courts of Justice, County Courts around England and Wales and Employment Tribunals in England, Wales and Scotland. CourtServe HRA alerts users to the cases they are running as these appear on the lists of the courts in the Circuits/Regions the subscriber has signed up for. The software updates itself automatically through its broadband Internet link obtaining lists moments after HM Court Service releases them.

How it works

A user of the CourtServe HRA application on their desktop, scrolls down through the lists that are included in the subscribed service and published on a particular day by the chosen courts.  Alternatively a user can choose from a range of different list types appearing in the main menu. Optionally, CourtServe HRA can also deliver lists from the Royal Courts of Justice, County Courts and Employment Tribunals; index the cases for automated alerting; and deliver the Headline Express service - a professionally-edited daily briefing of significant legal developments culled from the national media.

Why CourtServe HRA?

Quite simply it saves users time and money. Solicitors with Higher Court Rights of Audience, sole practitioners and legal firms benefit from case alerts and tracking efficiency when they opt to load their own case entries into the application.
